Week 41
There are no mid-week games now so it is all happening at weekends. With Roffey winning Division One and promotion to the Premier Division, the battle for the second promotion position started with the two play-off semi-final matches. Midhurst and Easebourne beat Epsom and Ewell with a hard fought victory and went into the final to play Shoreham who had a win over Seaford Town. The play-off final will be played on Saturday 7th May 2022 at the Rotherfield Stadium, Easebourne. Kick-off 3.00pm.
Midhurst & Easebourne V Shoreham (7th May)
Played on a well prepared pitch in bright sunny conditions, the score was goaless at the break. With both sides unable to get control of the ball and build pressure! the game is anyones for the taking in the second half. Both teams had several chances in the second half but the first goal was scored by Marcus Bedford to give Midhurst and Easebourne the lead and eventually a 1-0 victory which promotes them up to play the next season in the the Premier Division of the Southern Combination Football League.
