Season 2022/23
So here we are all ready to start the season 2022-23 but there will be several changes to the composition of the Divisions of the Southern Combination Football League. Due to their considerable success Littlehampton Town have been promoted to the Isthmian Football League, Senior South East Division. Saltdean United will be staying with this League as although finishing second in the Premier Division, their ground failed the ground grading inspection. Newhaven were then given the chance to gain promotion but were beaten in the play-off game by Lancing so they will be staying with this League. At the bottom East Preston have been relegated to Division One but Loxwood who finished second to bottom were reprieved of relegation by the Football Association. Pagham have been moved laterally by the Football Association into the Wessex Football League to play against teams in Hampshire and Dorset and have been replaced by Crowborough Athletic who have been moved laterally by the football Association from the Southern Counties East Football League. Promotion to the Premier Division is given to Division One Champions Roffey and runners-up Midhurst & Easebourne who won their way through in the play-off games. These changes keep the Premier Division at twenty teams.
Division 1
With Roffey FC and Midhurst & Easebourne FC moving out of Division One to the Premier Division, they were replaced by East Preston FC relegated from the Premier Division and Chessington and Hook FC. were moved laterally by the Football Association from the Southern Counties East Football League.
