Peacehaven & Tels V Roffey (5th November)

ROFFEY FIND IT HARD GOING..

All the games for Roffey are now extremely hard but they never stop battling. Peacehaven and Telscombe welcomed Roffey to the "Sports Ground" on a cold and wet afternoon. Roffey thought that they had taken the lead early in the first half when Jamie Maunder had the ball in the goal but it was flagged for off-side. After that scare, Peacehaven and Telscombe got going with a goal by Jack Pettett and then a penalty after Drew Matthews was bundled over in the penalty box. Cameron Wiltshire stepped up to calmly convert the penalty by sending the goalkeeper the wrong way. In the second half, Max Hollobone very quickly increased the lead with a vicious long range shot. Next a long passing movement ended with Curtis Ford crashing the ball into the top corner of the goal, at the second attempt. Drew Matthews then got on the scoresheet after a long solo run from the halfway line through the defence ended with a vicious shot into the top left-hand corner of the goal giving the goalkeeper no chance. Callum Connor on his home debut then side-footed the ball into the goal from close range. In the last few minutes of the game, Robin Deen collected a ball that had rebounded from a shot by Curtis Ford and slotted the ball home from close range. The Man of the Match award for Peacehaven and Telscombe was presented to Cameron Wiltshire..

Broadbridge Heath V Saltdean United (1st November)
PREMIER DIVISION LEADERS CONSOLIDATE THEIR LEAD..

Broadbridge Heath were playing Saltdean United at the Countryside Stadium on a pitch that was in a perfect playing condition after the recent stormy, wet weather. Before any goals were scored, Saltdean Utd went down to ten players after Corby Ovenden was sent off for two yellow cards for late tackles. Just minutes before halftime, the "Bears" took the lead with a goal by Ryan Brackpool after some sloppy play by the "Tigers". Very nearly straight from the restart, the "Bears" doubled their lead with goal from Alex Barbary and a little while later after a home side counter-attack, a Saltdean Utd player kicked the ball into his Own Goal. A second goal for Ryan Brackpool was next, followed by a ten minute crazy period at the end of the game when four goals were scored. Charlie Parmiter scored first then Ronaldo Carvalo got on the scoresheet followed quickly by Ben Cooksley and finally a third goal for Ryan Brackpool to complete his hattrick. A flurry of goals gave Broadbridge Heath a convincing 8-0 home victory which consolidated their position at the top of the Premier Division with a four point lead meanwhile a deflated Seaford United team headed back home..Much to his surprise but not to everyone else, Captain Ryan Brackpool was named as the Man of the Match for Broadbridge Heath..
