An early lead was given to the home side when Charlie Pitcher converted a penalty. However this lead was short lived as a few minutes laterTommy Boyle collected a rebound and slotted the ball into the goal past the advancing "Anvils" goalkeeper. Mid-way into the second half, Alexander Rainford put the "Vs" into the lead when his shot went in off the post. Crawley Down Gatwick kept trying and well into added time Michael Wood scored the equaliser.
