Mid-Table division one team Billingshurst outplayed premier division team AFC Varndeanians to progress to the next round of the Sx.C.F.A. Senior Challenge Cup. Billingshurst took the lead very early in the first half with a goal by Matthew Rendell who ghosted in onto a corner to score with a fine header. The lead was doubled later in the first half when again Matt Rendell scored with the inevitable header. Alistair Rainford pulled a goal back for the home side in the last minute of the first half. "Hurst" took a well deserved lead into the second half which was increased later in the half by Jacob Aichroth who opened his senior account when he tucked the ball into the corner of the goal. In added time, Gavin Fowler collected a cross from Tim Bennett to make certain of a 4-1 win for Billingshurst.
