There were twenty-five goals in the Premier Division from three games because one game Hassocks at home to Eastbourne United AFC was goalless.. AFC Varndeanians game at home to Midhurst and Easebourne at the "Withdean Stadium" had the most goals.. The first goal was scored for the home side in the first few minutes when Alistair Rainford side footed the ball into the goal from a cut back pass from Mark Goldson.. The "Stags" then equalised with a goal by Marcus Bedford and straight from the restart Marley Biggs put the "V,s" back in front when he calmly placed a low cross from Alistair Rainford into the bottom corner of the goal.. The score was then levelled again by Harry Tremett for the visitors before half-time.. Mark Goldson put the home side back into the lead soon after the restart after beating the off-side trap and putting away a long through pass from Alistair Rainford.. The "Stags" levelled the score again with a goal by Cian Tilley and then Alistair Rainford scored his second goal with a long range strike on his weaker foot to establish a home lead again which was further increased later by Alfie Mitchell when he slotted home a lovely through ball from Kyle Woolven.. The "Stags" had not given up as substitute James Liddiard reduced the lead only for Kyle Woolven to reinstate by converting a penalty after Alfie Mitchell was fouled in the area. The lead was further increased when Alistair Rainford completed his hat trick by slotting home the ball from a Mark Goldson strike.. An exciting game for all spectators and a fully deserved 7-4 home win to AfC Varndeanians which moved them three places up the division..
