Peacehaven and Telscombe started well against AFC Croydon Athletic with a goal straight from the kick off after some sloppy defending by the home side.After several attempts with crosses from the wings, a low cross by Harry Docherty came to Jack Pettett who turned the ball into the net, a Great Start. Soon after, Mikey Lloyd won the ball from the defence then passed the ball to Jack Pettett who calmly dinked the ball over the goalkeeper for his second of the game. As halftime approached, the home side came more into the game and had good scoring chances as the visitors held on to their lead to halftime. The second half got underway with the home side exerting all the pressure looking for a goal but the visitors were also beginning to create chances. In the dying minutes of the game, a pass from Mike Lloyd was collected by Callum Hart who drove the ball home. A 3-0 victory to Peacehaven and Telscombe was well deserved and they moved on to play away at Southall in the Preliminary Round of the FA Cup.
