To avoid slipping into the relegation zone Steyning Town Community had to play well to overcome the already relegated East Preston. Neither club was in form at the moment with very few wins between the two teams so the result could have gone either way. East Preston were managed by their new manager Christopher Horner who had recently moved up from Littlehampton United. A new Manager was no remedy as a hard battling East Preston suffered their twenty-ninth defeat of the season playing at home to a well organised Steyning Town Community. Toby Bloomfield scored mid-way through the first half to give the "Barrowmen" the lead which was extended by Joshua Bradley just before half time. The Visitors further increased their lead in the second half and then later big Austin Okolo got onto the scoresheet. Cian Tilley made the final score 5-0 to give Steyning Town Community a vital victory and three extremely valuable points in the fight against relegation.
