Crawley Down Gatwick took a very early lead in their away game at the "Herbert Direct Stadium" against Horsham YMCA. After only a few minutes into the game, Sammy Clements flicked the ball into the goal at the near post. Later in the first half, a cross from captain Michael Belli found Oliver Leslie who headed the ball into the goal to double the lead. Immediately YMCA reduced the lead when a free kick from the right touchline by Stan Berry was met by Dean Lovegrove who powered home a vicious header. The "Anvils" fought back with Sammy Clements scoring his second goal as half time approached. There was just enough time for Sammy Clements to complete his hattrick when he converted a penalty for a push in the penalty box. There were no more goals in the second half as YMCA were well beaten as Crawley Down Gatwick went home with a 4-1 victory and three points which moved them into third place in the division. The Crawley Down Gatwick award of a bottle of wine was given to Guy Harding.
