Jack Troak scored the first goal very early in the first half to put Hassocks in the lead over Saltdean United at the "Beacon" ground. A little later the "Tigers" equalised with a screamer of a shot by Lucas Tyrell. The second half started with an early goal from Jesse Burbridge and then an Own Goal from a deflected shot by Phillip Johnson sent the game into a penalty shoot-out with the score level at 2-2. Hassocks won the penalty shoot-out 6-5 after a poor overall performance but held on by the skin of their teeth. Right at the end of the game Saltdean United had Ross Smith sent off for two yellow cards..
