The "Dockers" travelled north to Surrey to the "Pavilion" to play Lingfield and took the lead early in the first half when Lee Robinson scored the opening goal for Newhaven which was the score at the end of a tight first half. Straight from the restart Jack Meers doubled the lead. A few minutes later Alfie Rogers increased the lead but then Conor Wilford scored for the "Lingers" and some time later, the lead was further reduced by a goal from Dennis Asante which led to a nervous tense final few minutes. After a sterling second half fight back by Lingfield, Newhaven hung on to the lead to record a 3-2 victory as they moved into second place in the division.
